Fideliphone 1.0.0-rc12 released

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

After way too llong, the Fideliphone development team is happy to announce the release of Fideliphone-1.0.0-rc12. This release candidate fixes a number of outstanding issues with Fideliphone-1.0.0-rc1 including connection problems, garbled audio, and high CPU usage.

The installer for Windows can be downloaded at http://www.fideliphone.com/fideliphone-releases/1.0.0-rc12/fideliphone-1.0.0-rc12-setup.exe. In previous releases, we’ve released the source code as a tarball for advanced users who would like to try Fideliphone on Linux, OSX…etc. A problem with our build environment is preventing us from doing this at the moment, but the bleeding edge source for Fideliphone can always be downloaded from our sourceforge subversion repository. Please see http://fideliphone.sourceforge.net for instructions.

Finally, we’ve created two mailing lists as another method for our users to communicate with us and with each other. These lists are still experimental, so please let us know by email to bugs@fideliphone.com, or by commenting on this post, if something isn’t working and we’ll get it fixed as soon as possible. Information about the mailing lists can be found by visiting http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=328473.

Thank you for your patients while waiting for this long overdue release, and please let us know what we’re doing right and what we’re doing wrong.

Sincerely,
The Fideliphone Development Team

Fideliphone 1.0.0-beta Reposted

Friday, February 5th, 2010

The Fideliphone development team has decided to repost the Fideliphone 1.0 beta. The download links for the self-installing executable and source code tarball have not changed and can either be found in the original Fideliphone 1.0 beta announcement, or on the sidebar of this page.

This rebuild fixes a problem where only the left channel was being sent when in stereo mode. We’d like to encourage you to download and use this fixed version as soon as possible, and please continue to send us bug reports and other feedback.

Sincerely,
The Fideliphone Development Team
